Education, Training and Experience

  • I graduated from Dominican Academy in NYC with a Regents Diploma with Honors after briefly attending the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music, Art and the Performing Arts as a dance major.

There, I was awarded a medal of distinction for my performance in courses pertaining to religion and ethics in addition to being named a National Merit Commended Scholar.

  • I earned a BA from Columbia University in 2010 with dual concentrations in Psychology and Anthropology, in addition to significant coursework in dance, neuroscience, philosophy and comparative religion.

At Columbia I was distinguished as a Kluge Scholar, one of four named types of scholars chosen upon admission.

  • I earned my MSW in 2017 from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.

There, I specialized in clinical practice.

  • From 2017 to 2020 I completed the first portion of my three years of supervised clinical training in Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan through the Thrive NYC Mental Health Service Corps.

This initiative that provided me with evidence-based training in Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Positive Parenting, in partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals.

  • Through the NYC Mental Health Service Corps I was able to establish a counseling program at an outpatient pediatrics practice where I completed the supervised training for my LCSW license, eventually expanding the program to three clinicians in 2020 and 2021.

I have been licensed as a psychotherapist since 2017 and have been in private practice in NYC since 2021, treating adults, children, pre-teens, teens, families and emerging adults.

Prior to pursuing a career as a therapist, I received training, held internships and worked in a variety of roles in different industries and sectors, including hospitality, entertainment, finance, fitness, education, the arts, and technology.

Prior to beginning my graduate training I worked as a child abuse investigator for the Administration for Children’s Services and briefly worked as a research volunteer at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, organizing data for a clinical trial in the Department of Psychiatry. During this time period and while in graduate school I also worked as a private tutor for children, pre-teens and teens.

My three year period of post-graduate training was completed in a pediatrics practice in NYC, in conjunction with the NYC Mental Health Service Corps headquartered at NYC Health + Hospitals. This program provided me with evidence-based training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Positive Parenting, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Couples’ Therapy and Family Therapy. As a result, I obtained extensive experience working with children, pre-teens, teens, emerging adults, parents and families.

Starting in 2022 I received additional training in Cognitive Processing Therapy through the Medical University of South Carolina and Dr. Kathleen Chard, a creator of CPT. Additionally, in 2024 I completed 8 months of supervised CPT case consultation to achieve CPT Provider Status.

Independently, I have served as a Behavioral Health Consultant to Sesame.

In addition to my private practice, I am currently working on a clinical trial as a study therapist.
